IL BICAMPIONE DEL MONDO JUNIORES CHOI TAE-HO A FIORENZUOLA
09/07/2026 – L'elenco iscritti della 29ª edizione dei Gran Premi Internazionali di Fiorenzuola – 6 Giorni delle Rose bianche, in programma dal 20 al 25 luglio al Velodromo "Attilio Pavesi", si arricchisce del nome del diciannovenne sudcoreano Choi Tae-ho. Sarà il primo atleta della Corea del Sud nella storia della manifestazione.
Classe 2007, Choi – che vive e si allena in Nuova Zelanda - è considerato uno dei più promettenti talenti del ciclismo asiatico e non solo. Nel 2025 ha conquistato ad Apeldoorn, in Olanda, due titoli ai Campionati del Mondo Juniores su pista, imponendosi nelle prove di velocità e keirin. Nello stesso anno è stato convocato nella nazionale maggiore per i Campionati del Mondo Elite. Al Velodromo Pavesi sarà uno dei protagonisti delle prove per velocisti.
La sua iscrizione conferma il grande richiamo internazionale dei Gran Premi di Fiorenzuola, capaci di attrarre campioni affermati e alcuni dei più promettenti talenti del ciclismo mondiale.
TWO-TIME UCI JUNIOR WORLD CHAMPION CHOI TAE-HO TO RACE AT THE FIORENZUOLA INTERNATIONAL TRACK GRAND PRIX
Fiorenzuola d'Arda (Italy), July 9, 2026 – The entry list for the 29th edition of the Fiorenzuola International Track Grand Prix – 6 Giorni delle Rose Bianche, scheduled from July 20 to 25 at the "Attilio Pavesi" Velodrome, has been strengthened by the addition of 19-year-old South Korean rider Choi Tae-ho. He will be the first South Korean athlete ever to compete in the history of the event.
Born in 2007, Choi, who lives and trains in New Zealand, is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Asian track cycling. In 2025, at the UCI Junior Track World Championships in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, he claimed two world titles, winning both the Sprint and Keirin events. Later that year, he was selected for the South Korean elite national team for the UCI Track World Championships. At the Attilio Pavesi Velodrome, he is expected to be one of the leading contenders in the sprint events.
His entry further confirms the international appeal of the Fiorenzuola International Track Grand Prix, an event that continues to attract both established champions and some of the world's most promising young cycling talents.
